Dr. Chris Hobbs, Owner
Dr. Chris Hobbs, founder and owner of Sustainable Ideas, is an experienced sustainability professional, helping organizations to integrate sustainable practices into their operations and strategies. With a deep understanding of sustainability principles and a passion for environmental conservation, Chris has built a successful consultancy focused on creating positive impact and value for his clients.
Throughout his career, Chris has worked with a diverse range of organizations, from non-profits to international associations , with a focus on cultural organizations. He has helped companies achieve significant reductions in carbon emissions, water usage, waste generation, and other sustainability metrics.
Fostering the skills developed during his Ph.D in Biological Sciences from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, Chris applies a data-driven approach to sustainable management. As a firm believer in "you can only manage what you measure", Chris integrates a scientific approach to achieve both positive and attainable outcomes for clients.
Beyond his work as a consultant, Chris is an active member of the sustainability community, regularly speaking at conferences and events, contributing to state-wide and global initiatives, and collaborating with other sustainability professionals to advance the field. He is dedicated to helping his clients succeed while also contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world.
